The Ansin Art Gallery at the Miramar Cultural Center hosted
Artist Guy Harvey exhibition, showcasing several of Harvey’s original pieces
and an eclectic collection of artwork on tile, canvas and giclee reproductions.
Guy Harvey combines his artistic talent with his experience
as diver, photographer and marine biologist, creating incredible marine art
pieces that captivate everyone’s attention.
Sample of his works can be seen at the Fort Lauderdale
International Airport and Nova Southeastern University and currently he is
completing a canvas series for the Norwegian
cruise ship “Escape”.

La Galeria
de Arte Ansin en el Centro Cultural de Miramar celebro una exhibición del
reconocido artista Guy Harvey, mostrando una variada colección de piezas
originales del artista, en cerámica, canvas y algunas reproducciones giclee.
Guy Harvey
combina su talento artístico con su experiencia como buzo, fotógrafo y biólogo marino,
creando increíbles obras de arte marinas, que cautivan la atención de todo
espectador.
Usted puede
apreciar muestras del trabajo de este artista en los techos y pisos del aeropuerto
internacional de Ft Lauderdale así como también la Universidad NOVA, y
actualmente trabaja en completar una serie de canvas las cuales vestirán el
crucero “Escape” de NCL.

Lena
Luckey is a traveler presenting a travelogue through the faces she paints of
people we find familiar in places we yearn to visit.* She likes to add pigments
and materials with hand- and brush-strokes to bring the faces into textured
relief on canvas.
This
past week at the Ft Lauderdale Home Show, Luckey was invited by Around Town
Arts and Culture Magazine / South Florida to display and create her work for
all the visitors to see.
I
had the chance to stop by and enjoy some her painting while having a chat about
her style and creations.

Lena Luckey es una viajera que presenta
sus travesías por medio de los rostros de todas aquellas personas que encuentra
familiares en los diversos lugares que visita. A ella le gusta añadir pigmentos
y materiales bien sea con sus manos o a través de los brochazos de un pincel,
brindando así a sus retratos texturas sobre las canvas.
Esta semana pasada, en el Home Show
celebrado en Ft Lauderdale, Luckey fue invitada por la Revista Around Town Arts
and Culture del sur de la Florida, a mostrar y trabajar su obra en el espacio
de la revista, para el deleite de todos los visitantes al evento.
Tuve la oportunidad de conocerla y
conversar con ella sobre su obra, su estilo y sus creaciones.

With a night full of art, color and best wishes; Art
by Claudia Ojeda Art blog celebrated with readers, family and friends a special
night honoring the blog post # 100!
Our guests had the opportunity to celebrate art ,
enjoying light refreshments, wine and an exhibit of some of my art work; while
living their signatures and best wishes on a commemorative “100th post
collective art creation”

this special event.
The mission of this Art
blog is to share on weekly posts; art events, activities, museums exhibits and
more art related happenings in the South Florida area and highlights from the
US art and around the world; that promote artists, art venues, as well as art appreciation
and enjoyment of art for kids and adults.

This week the visit is to the Valiant
Air Command Warbird Museum located in Titusville,
Florida. With
exhibits, displays, artifacts and vintage warbirds from WWI through the present
it is a museum that offers a great opportunity to see a unique collection of
venerable aircraft and learn about the legacy of the pilots that flew them.
Artist in restoration, have made
possible to show some of this crafts, once sunken in the ocean, with all their
beauty and unique character as pieces of art.

Esta semana los llevamos a visitar el Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum
en Titusville, Florida. El museo cuenta con exhibiciones, muestras, artefactos
y aviones de guerra antiguos de la primera guerra mundial hasta el presente,
que ofrecen una oportunidad única de apreciar esta colección y aprender sobre
el legado de los pilotos que una vez los volaron.
Artistas de la restauración, han hecho posible presentar estas aeronaves,
una vez hundidas en el océano, y presentar su belleza y carácter único como lo
hacen las obras de arte.

This week’s
blog is my Art blog post #100!!! and I started the celebration with a family
visit to the newPérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).
The PAMM is a modern and contemporary art museum dedicated to
collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Located
in downtown Miami’s Museum Park, and
originally Miami Art Museum, is now home of more than 1,300 works across a
range of media, and serves one of the most diverse populations and fastest
growing regions in the country. (from pamm.org)

Esta semana se cumple my publicación #100 del Art Blog!!! Y la celebración se inicio con una visita familiar al nuevo Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).
El PAMM es un museo de arte moderno y contemporáneo
dedicado a coleccionar y exhibir obras de arte internacional de los siglos XX y
XXI. Esta localizado en el Parque de los Museos del downtown de Miami, y es el
originalmente Museo de Arte de Miami, el cual hoy día es casa de más de 1,300
obras de arte en medios diversos y adicionalmente sirve de puente cultural a
una de las poblaciones más diversas y crecientes del país.

This weekend the Youth Art Day and Music Fest celebrated with
Dance, Drawing and Dreams, as it’s theme of 2014 stated.
This community collaboration celebrated imagination,
diversity and youth art while creating consciousness of Miami-Dade County cultural
resources.
The exhibition is a three week long visual and literacy
display that opened with a daylong of performances and art at the Deering
Estate at Cutler in Miami. The activities included; Historic House tours, Natural
Areas, On-stage performances, colors of the wind, dance on the fly, Dreams of
planting Eco-Art, youth art exhibit and awards.
Art work will be on display through May 18th. Enjoy!

Esta semana el
Festival de Arte y Música Juvenil, celebro con bailes, dibujos, y sueños, como
lo declara su tema de la edición 2014.
Este proyecto de colaboración
comunitario celebro la imaginación, diversidad y el talento artístico joven, a
la vez de crear conciencia de los recursos culturales que posee el condado de
Miami-Dade.
La exhibición es
una muestra de tres semanas en las cuales se presentan artes visuales y literarias,
e inicio con un día completo lleno de Arte en el Deering Estate at Cutler en
Miami. Las actividades incluyeron, visitas a la casa histórica, áreas
naturales, presentaciones en vivo, los colores del viento, bailes, sueños de
plantar art ecológico, muestra de arte joven y premiaciones entre otros.
La muestra estará
expuesta hasta el 18 de Mayo; visítela y disfruten!
