The Coral Springs Museum of Art
(CSMART) is planning its 3rd Annual Chalk it Up for Art!!, a street
painting festival, open to participation from the general public and
professional artists. This festival is scheduled for January 26, 2013.
Professional or amateur artists or teams up to four artists will design and
draw chalk masterpieces on the sidewalks in front of CSMART. Best of Show will
be awarded in seven categories: Elementary School; Middle School; High School;
Adults, Families, Professional Artists and People's Choice.
Professional Artist Nzingah Oniwosan will be creating sidewalk
artwork during this six hour event!!
CSMART decided to create this event as an avenue to introduce and engage the
community to the fine arts using a medium that does not require significant
time and monetary investment. It was felt that chalk art was something that the
majority of potential participants would be least apprehensive of trying out
for the first time.
Chalk it Up for Art is sponsored by the Coral Springs Artist Guild and Friends
of the Museum.

festival de pintura de calle, abierto a la participación de los artistas, al
público en general y profesionales. Este festival está programado para el 26 de

Artistas profesionales o aficionados
o equipos de hasta cuatro artistas podran diseñar y dibujar obras maestras de
tiza en las aceras frente a CSMART. Best of Show se otorgará en siete
categorías: Escuela Primaria, Escuela Intermedia, Escuela Superior, adultos,
familias, artistas profesionales y Elección del Público.
El Artista Nzingah Oniwosan estará creando
obras de arte en las aceras durante este evento de seis horas!
CSMART decidido crear este evento
como una vía para introducir e involucrar a la comunidad a las bellas artes
utilizando un medio que no requiere mucho tiempo y mucha inversión monetaria.
Se consideró que el arte con tiza era algo que la mayoría de los participantes
potenciales serían menos aprensivo de probar por primera vez.
