This week I want to share with you a sample of some art work from various Venezuelan Artist (including myself) that showcased our work as tribute to Carines Moncada, TV personality, this past weekend at the Miami Home Show.

The space was created by the Interior Designer Tamara Roth, who decorated the room with various art pieces that reflect different art expressions from Venezuela's talent.

I was honored to give one of my "Zodiac Symbol" pieces to Moncada as a way to thank her for her support and generosity letting the community know about art and artists from my native country.

Esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes una  muestra de destacados artistas plasticos venezolanos (incluyendome) quienes mostramos nuestro trabajo , honrando a Carines Moncada, destacada personalidad de la television, en espacio del Miami Home Show.

El area fue creada por la disenadora Tamara Roth, quien elaboro una habitacion decorada con varias piezas de arte, creadas por artistas venezolano.

Tuve el placer de hacer entrega, de una de mis piezas de arte de la serie "Signos", a Moncada, como forma de agradecimiento por su apoyo al talento hispano creado por artistas de mi pais natal.

Dichotomy Exhibit / Exposicion Dicotomia

It was inaugurated in the ArtSpace Gallery at the Koubek Center in Miami Dade College, the photo exhibition "Dichotomy" from the artist Luis Fernandez Salazar, who works with models underwater and captures scenes that resemble classical paintings and contemporary art.

Fue inaugurada en la Galeria ArtSpace del Centro Koubek en el Miami Dade College,  la exposición de fotos “Dicotomia”; exhibición de Luis Fernandez Salazar, quien trabaja con modelos debajo del agua y capta escenas que asemejan pinturas clásicas y arte contemporáneo.

Arts and Crafts Festival / Festival de Arte y Manualidades

The Arts and Crafts Festival in the Pines was held at the Pembroke Pines City Center, offering a great opportunity for artists and patrons to purchase and sell their art and fine crafts in a delightful atmosphere. 

The Festival also showcased live music, a hands-on art children’s area, demonstrations by local artists and food booths. Ribbons and prizes were awarded for best in show and different art and craft categories.

It was a weekend full of art and fun!

Fue celebrado en el Centro de la Ciudad de Pembroke Pines, el 15avo Festival de Artes y Manualidades de la ciudad, el cual ofrecio una gran oportunidad para que artistas exhibir su obra para la venta del publico en general.

El festival tambien presento shows de musica en vivo, area de arte para ninos, demostraciones por parte artistas locales, ademas de amplia oferta de comida. Entre las actividades especiales, fueron otorgados premios a el mejor stand del show asi como tambien en diversas categorias de arte y manualidades.

Fue sin duda un fin de semana lleno de arte y diversion!
