The Perez Art Museum Miami launched “From the Revolution in the Tropics to Imagined Landscapes: The Art
of Edouard Duval-Carrié” , bringing
together a panel of scholars and curators to discuss major themes and
approaches to work that have emerged throughout the Miami-based artist’s career.
PAMM Chief Curator Tobias Ostrander, who organized the PAMM
exhibition Edouard-Duval-Carrié: Imagined Landscapes and
contributed an essay to the catalog, introduced the panel, followed by individual
presentations and discussion with the monograph’s editor, Anthony
Bogues, Lyn Crost Professor of Social Sciences and Critical Theory
and Director of the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice, Brown
University; Edward J. Sullivan, Helen Gould Sheppard Professor and
Chair of the Department of Art History at New York University; and Jorge
Luis Gutierrez, Curator and Visual Arts Manager of The Borderless Caribbean
exhibition & research initiatives series of the Haitian Cultural Arts
Alliance in Miami, FL.
From
the Revolution in the Tropics to Imagined Landscapes: The Art of Edouard
Duval-Carrié is
a 200 page monograph on the work of Edouard Duval-Carrié. The book
explores the paintings and sculptural work of Duval-Carrié in relation to the
history of Haitian art and international contemporary art practices. The publication
belongs to PAMM’s signature Focus Gallery publication series.

El Pérez Art Museum de Miami (PAMM) reunió a un grupo de estudiosos y
curadores de arte para discutir los principales temas y enfoques de trabajo de Edouard
Duval-Carrie en la obra titulada “From the Revolution
in the Tropics to Imagined Landscapes: The Art of Edouard Duval-Carrié”
El Jefe de curadores de arte del PAMM Tobias Ostrander, quien organizó la
exposición de Edouard Duval-Carrié, presentó el panel, seguido de
presentaciones individuales y discusión con el editor de la monografía, Anthony

monografía de 200 páginas sobre la obra de Edouard Duval-Carrié. El libro
explora las pinturas y obras escultóricas de Duval-Carrié en relación con la
historia del arte haitiano y prácticas internacionales de arte contemporáneo.
La publicación pertenece a la firma Focus Gallery serie de publicaciones de
