A Guide to a Century of Architecture; Broward County has grown greatly in the last century, developing as a cosmopolitan area and important tourist destination, never the less it’s architectural development has an interesting history. 

This series of photographs on panels, is an exhibition that represents some of the most noticeable examples of architecture throughout the County. Recording its growth from the settlement of Fort Lauderdale into its most current edification. The exhibition goals is to familiarize the public with the buildings, their architectural history and the urban singularities throughout the region.   

The curators of the sample expect that the exhibit will serve as a promoter for more in depth studies regarding the area’s built environment and how buildings represent the past present and future of the county.

This exhibition will be held from January 29^th thru February 22^nd and is possible due to generous funding and support from the Broward Cultural Division, the Florida Atlantic University School of Architecture, and FAU’s Broward Undergraduate Research Award.

Una guía a un siglo de Arquitectura; el Condado de Broward ha crecido enormemente en el último siglo, desarrollándose como una zona cosmopolita e importante destino turístico, así como también su  desarrollo arquitectónico tiene una historia interesante.

Esta serie de fotografías sobre paneles, es una exposición que representa algunos de los ejemplos más notables de la arquitectura en todo el Condado. Su crecimiento a partir del desarrollo de Fort Lauderdale hasta su edificación más actual. Los objetivos de la exposición son permitir al público familiarizarse con los edificios, la historia de la arquitectura y las singularidades urbanas en toda la región.

Los curadores de la muestra esperan que la exposición sirva como promotora de más estudios en profundidad en relación con el medio ambiente construido el área y cómo los edificios representan el pasado, presente y futuro del condado.

Esta exposición se llevará a cabo del 29 de enero al 22 de febrero y es posible gracias a la generosa financiación y el apoyo de la División de Cultura de Broward, la Escuela de Arquitectura de la FAU, y el Premio de Investigación Pregrado de Broward de la FAU.
