This past weekend Halloween was celebrated, and with that all the decoration, candy and custom planning went on for the spooky night. This year, my older daughter wanted to wear an Art-inspired Halloween costume and decided to impersonate Frida Kahlo.(image below)
Kahlo the wife of fellow painter Diego Rivera was a Mexican painter
best known for her magic realism art,
mainly compose for self-portraits. She died in 1954 at the age of 47 and her work
continues to be recognized to many as feminist icons.

Este pasado
fin de semana fue celebrado la fiesta de Halloween, y con ella todos los planes
de decoración, caramelos y los disfraces para la tenebrosa noche. Este año, mi hija mayor, quiso utilizar un disfraz
inspirado en arte y decidió impersonar a la pintora Frida Kahlo (en la imagen).
Kahlo, la
esposa del también reconocido pintor Diego Rivera, fue una pintora mexicana,
mejor conocida por su obra de realismo mágico, fundamentalmente compuesto por
sus autorretratos. Fallecida en el año 1954 a los solo 47 años de edad , su
trabajo fue y continua siendo para muchos icono del movimiento feminista.
En esta edición,
